Daniel Ricciardo Will Be Replaced by Oscar Piastri at McLaren

Oscar Piastri, a reserve driver for Alpine, has agreed to drive for Formula 1 team McLaren in the next season. Daniel Ricciardo will be replaced by Piastri for the next Formula 1 season.

After learning that Fernando Alonso had joined Aston Martin, Alpine made his decision.

Alonso will be replaced by Piastri in the lineup, the F1 team owned by Renault confirmed earlier.

The two-time champion’s unexpected switch to Aston Martin was revealed by Alpine last week, and Piastri will take his spot for the next campaign.

The decision of Sebastian Vettel, a four-time world champion, to retire from Formula 1 at the conclusion of this season prompted Alonso’s action. But Piastri shocked everyone by turning down his promotion.

The French F1 team was embarrassed when he announced on Twitter that “I will not be driving for Alpine next year.” The contract recognition board for the Formula 1 Association has approved Piastri’s new contract with McLaren over his previous agreement with Alpine.
