In a statement, police said that former star goalkeeper Hope Solo was arrested

after she was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle

in with her 2-year-old twins inside the car.

She was charged with driving while impaired,

resisting a public officer, and

misdemeanor child abuse.

A passerby noticed Solo passed out behind the steering wheel

for more than an hour with the vehicle's engine running

and the two children in the backseat.

Solo refused a field sobriety test

and that her blood was drawn instead.

She was released immediately and

is now at home with her family.

This is not the first time Solo has been in trouble with the law.

Solo, 40, was arrested in 2014 on domestic assault charges

after police said she assaulted two relatives at a home near Seattle.
