NY Rangers Igor Shesterkin became the first Ranger since King Henrik to win the Vezina Trophy
on Tuesday night, matching Lundqvist's achievement of being
named the league's finest goaltender during a memorable season in 2011-12.
With 36 regular-season victories, Shesterkin led the Rangers to their first playoff appearance
since 2017, and they advanced to the conference championship before falling to Tampa Bay in six games.
With a.935 save percentage, he set a franchise record and was the third-highest mark in league history among
goaltenders with more than 50 starts. He also led the league with a 2.07 goals against average,
44.9 goals saved over average, and 2.11 adjusted goals against average.
