Pirates Trade Daniel Vogelbach to Mets

The Mets revealed on Friday that they had acquired infielder Daniel 

Vogelbach from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for pitcher 

Colin Holderman. Holderman pitched in 15 games for the Mets this 

season, going 4-0 with a 2.04 ERA. In 17.2 innings pitched, he struck out 18 

times. The bulky Vogelbach, a left-handed batter who was a Seattle's 

All-Star in 2019, was batting .228 with 12 home runs, 34 RBIs, and 

a .769 OPS in 75 games for the struggling Pirates. He's already 

had some success in the major leagues and will join our pitching staff at 

this time because of that. Ben Cherington, GM of the Pirates, remarked.
