On Sunday, at the event of the 94th Academy Awards, "King Richard" star Will Smith surprised the whole world.
During this event, the stand-up comedian Chris Rock was joking about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head,
"Jada I love you, 'G.I. Jane 2,' can't wait to see it."
This joke did not appear to go over well with her husband Will Smith.
Then Smith walked onto the Dolby Theater stage and punched Rock.
This moment was then cut out on the USA broadcast.
Smith warned Rock and shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f-----g mouth!”
In 2018, Pinkett Smith revealed that she had been diagnosed with
alopecia areata, a condition that causes hair loss.
Chris Rock refuses to file a police report after this fight.
"The Academy does not condone violence of any form," the organization tweeted.
After this incident, Smith accepted the best actor Oscar in "King Richard,"
and apologized to the film academy, and tried to justify his action.
"Art imitates life. I look like the crazy father, just like they said about Richard Williams.
But love will make you do crazy things,"
