The $660 million Mega Millions jackpot remained unclaimed on Friday night, and the anticipated prize for the upcoming drawing on Tuesday, July 26, is now an astounding $790 million.
The winning combination included the megaball 16 and the numbers 60-66-14-40-64.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last claimed on April 15 by a Tennessee-based winning ticket, who took home $20 million.
Since then, there have been 28 consecutive draws without a jackpot winner, and the grand prize has increased from $20 million to an estimated $555 million as of Tuesday.
The Friday big prize had increased to an estimated $660 million, before taxes, due to the interest in the lottery.
However, because there was no winner announced on Friday, interest is just going to increase until the next drawing on Tuesday.
Since Texas joined the game in 2003, there have been 13 winners of the Mega Millions jackpot.
The most recent jackpot winner was a Leander resident who received an estimated annuitized $227 million in September 2019.
This was the biggest reward ever given to one Texas Lottery player.
